Saigon Vietnamese Delicacy Review

Have you try Vietnamese food before?
Do you know that there is one located at geylang good and cheap??

Thank you Saigon Vietnamese delicacy for inviting me down and get expose to Vietnamese food! Can say it's my very 1st time that i really get in touch with real Vietnamese food.. the usual one that i all always eat is the spring rolls that u can buy anywhere in local food court and i rmb that my mother always say that e dripping coffee is the best strong enough for her!! hahahahaha... and this time round is really down to earth exposure to me!! All i can say is~ It's too good to be true!! the food style is kind of close to thai food.. maybe cos they r close to each other so they learn from each other.. (that's what i feel)

they r just right beside the nice teochew porridge i always go for at geylang!!

are you ready to get hungry?

we grow fat together!! *loves*
they have mango salad also but made it in a different way..
this can be appetizer or can go with beer would be great!
Goi Xoai - $4.50
Pomelo drink.. it's very thick and milky!!
i order this but ended up i drink dear dear kr de ice coffee and he drink like this~
Che buoi da - $3.50
Yes!! This is the iced coffee that i am talking about~
Are you a coffee lover? i am not but i love this!!
they have this without milk too...
Cafe Sua Da - $2.50
This is the fried version of the spring rolls that i am talking about.. i nv really like fried food!
But trust me this is really very nice!!
the spring roll skin is so different from the normal fried spring roll skin we try before with the special made chilly sauce.. OMG! feeling hungry~
Cha Gio - $4.50 (5 pcs)
Sliced tender beef shank with thick rice noodle, for beef lovers! but this is abit spicy~ dear dear kr choice but not really for me cos i can't take the spiciness.. but it doesn't means is not good enough~ i did try some of it.. the way they cook it is somehow different from those beef noodles out there. you can give it a try if u are looking for spicy n soup stuff!
Bun Do Hue - $6.00
this is so for me! i love fresh vegetable~ the concept is something like Japanese cold noodle.. just that they have more topping for this and the sauce is e special made chilly sauce beside e noodle! you must be think i though she say she cannot take spicy stuff why this noodle the sauce she can take it? hahahaha.. the special made chilly sauce is not spicy at all.. and it's abit sweet too! this dish is call vietnamese rice noodles with bbq pork vegetables.
Bun Thit Nuong Cha Gio - $5.80
this is another fried food i would recommend.. but i guess not alot of Singaporean dare try this out! before i let u know what is this.. let me tell u how it taste~ it's like chicken with lesser meat and with no fats! (sounds good huh? LOL) it's actually fried quail with butter!! i dare you to try this out.. swear u will fall in love with it.. so crispy, go with beer u will feel like u r in heaven!!
Chim Cut Chien Bo - $ 12.00

Vietnamese Pancake just nice for people who is on diet, you don't have to go hungry anymore!! this is very tasty too.. they do have filling in the pancake itself.. for i rmb it's vege, duck meat and prawn. as for the pancake skin it taste like it's made from yellow bean flour.. so how do u eat this? u take some of the pancake wrap with the vegetable than dip some special made chilly sauce and you eat it!!! *yummy*
Banh Yeo - $7.00
lastly it's dessert... caramel cake!!
Banh Flan - $2.20
i am super enjoying myself~
hahahaha.. so is dear dear kr!! (eat till like that somemore)
if you have try out any vietnamese food intro to me what else more is nice.. leave your comment below(:

Spicy Marinara Spaghetti.
this is really very nice, if you love spicy stuff you should try this out!
you can even request for less spicy if you can't take spicy stuff like me.
(i am very funny i love spicy stuff but i can't take real spicy stuff.. so yea~)

All Meat.
are you a lover of thin crust like me? you should try their pizza out! super love the crust cos you don't feel like you are eating alot of flour. very suitable for ppl like me who always claim to be on diet but always munching on alot of food. you kind of wouldn't feel guilty after eating this pizza.. Indochili Restaurant Review

Yea, i am so happy to be invited over to indochili to review about my hometown(indonesian) cuisine!! Dining over at indochili was fantastic the ambience, food and service!! If you are a person who can't really take too spicy stuff you can actually request from the staff that you want less spicy they are able to cater to your needs! Cos they freshly cook the food once you place your order.. than you must be thinking will your food take longer time to serve? hahahaha.. to my surprise the food was serve quite fast!!

outside view of the shop

view from the cashier counter

other the sits they have sofa area for dining also
bought dear dear along for my review this time round, all thanks to indochili for allowing me to bring one more person
with me(:

while waiting for our food to arrive we were being serve the traditional Indonesia snacks.
Jus Alpukat (Fresh Avocado Juice) $6.80
I have intro by this drink by my dad he made this at home for us. It's kind of a traditional indonesian drink to me, will order this when ever i go dinning at a indonesian restaurant. this is with chocolate sauce but i think it will go better with coconut sugar! anyway i just love drinking avocado juice. do you know that avocado is good for health? http://www.healthdiaries.com/eatthis/10-health-benefits-of-avocados.html
Frape Choco $7.80
they have modern drinks also!! if you are a chocolate drink lover you should try this.. really very impressive. i nv really like chocolate drink cos they are all very sweet but this is just nice!!

They have 2 kind of rice one is the normal plain rice and one in yellow is lemongrass rice!! I quite like the lemongrass rice (if you have read my other post on thai food you will know that i am a big fan of lemongrass stuff) the lemongrass rice lemongrass smell wasn't very strong. Give it a try when you drop by, it's very special to me(:

Sate Ayam Medura $7.80
you must be thinking.. Oh, satay! yes it is.. but it's different from those we had from food center. those we had from food center is abit oily and the sauce is more spicy. This is abit sweet cos they have sweet soy sauce in the peanut sauce and the peanut in e sauce is much of fragrance. As for the meat is kind of like hand made to me cos is different from those we usual had the from food center.

Cumi Balado (Squid) $13.80
when this dish arrive i was thinking, must be very spicy lar.. but when i try it i was like.. not really very spicy la~ it taste abit sweet in the spiciness!! they have other one which is glaze with sweet sauce de.. so missing the taste of it.

Cah Kangkung $8.80
normally dear dear don't really eat vegetable but surprising he ate quite alot of this that day! i must say that they really cook this in a very unique way. (sorry can't explain this out, go give it a try out)

Ikan Bakar Bali $31.80
Grilled snapper fish with a very bali feel, it comes with alot of spices fragrant! e best part is i don't usually eat fried fish cos e meat will be usually dry and hard but this is crispy on the outside and soft on the inside! one side is with a thin layer of chili (as you can see on the picture) the other side is without chili.

Sayur Asem $3.80
It's actually indonesia traditional mixed vegetable soup, everything is the soup can be eaten! the taste of it is abit sour/sweet/spicy~ totally something to boost your appetite!

Kue Lapis Legit $1.90
Lapis Legit Plum $2.00
Lapis Legit Surabaya $2.20
i think we have had this before cos bengawan solo is selling this too.. but those at bengawan solo not very traditional (personal view). My favorite flavor is the one with plum(:

Lastly thank you indochili for having us down, really very grateful~
