No matter how much you love and trust your boyfriend (or husband), men are weak and need assistance in preventing themselves from getting into trouble. I'm not one to advocate caging your man to prevent him from cheating.

However, I'm also not one to advocate being a damn fool playing with fire and inviting trouble into your relationship. Here are 3 types of women who will just spell trouble for any relationship, so avoid them if you can.

The Ex-Girlfriend / Ex-Wife

He may say that he no longer has feelings for his ex, and it may well be true but she is the one who had a special bond with him. The ex can ruin your relationship if she's always in the picture. Does she call him when she loses her job, breaks up with her new boyfriend or has a problem? Is he the one man in her mind who truly 'get's her'?

You don't have to make her the enemy but you need to draw the line somewhere. They are no longer a couple, and she should not depend on him or expect to maintain such an emotionally intimate relationship with him. Give this witch the boot, it's a huge world out there, she can find someone else to lean on.

The Low Self-Esteem Woman

We all know women like this. A woman with low self-esteem will do almost anything for male attention. She will flirt with your boyfriend, bad mouth you behind your back, display sluttish behaviour and fish for compliments from your man.

She needs it to feel good about herself. Never leave such a woman alone with your boyfriend. It's not that you don't trust your man, but be warned that such women will bend over backwards for the attention of anyone with a penis.

The Model Chick

Ok, I know that it's not fair to say this because it's not like being gorgeous makes her a bad person. She may be your friend and have no ill intentions towards your relationship at all. But do you like the thought of your man fantasizing about this model chick?

And which man honestly doesn't want to say to his friends, "I nailed a model!" ? So don't suggest that your boyfriend give her a lift in his car on his way home from work, or that he go over to her apartment without you to fix a leak in her taps. Just to prevent temptation and err on the side of caution, don't allow them to get unnecessarily close.
